Sample Constructed To Demonstrate AliClad Flow Balcony Soffit Cladding System

We’ve spoken before about how we are more than happy to construct and send out complex samples showing how the various elements of our AliDeck aluminium decking system fit together. With our ever-growing range of products and several new lines recently launching, there has never been a greater need for us to help our customers fully understand all aspects of our decking, paving, and cladding options.

We were delighted, then, to put together a really exciting desktop sample of our AliClad Flow balcony soffit cladding system last week. With the product in stock and on the shelves, it was a huge amount of fun for our team to get hands on and build a demo balcony soffit.

The AliClad Flow system is designed to provide a controlled drainage solution for balcony undersides. With water falling through the deck surface to the soffit, AliClad Flow captures and channels fluids to a gutter that runs along the front of the balcony. The sample handily shows the recommended 1:80 fall and clearly demonstrates how water will be effectively redirected. In the sample, the gutter channel is unpunched in order to divert water to a specified location, but the stock AliClad Flow gutter will be punched to allow drainage along its length.

The core of the AliClad Flow system is the extruded soffit panel, an interlocking board that allows for balconies of any width to be easily and quickly fitted with an off-the-shelf soffit cladding solution.
