AliDeck Aluminium Decking Research & Development Department Recruit New Mechanical Engineer Staff Member

Innovation has been the underpinning of AliDeck’s rise to prominence in the construction and manufacturing industry. Expanding our product range to provide a comprehensive product offering to solve the problems faced by balcony designers and manufacturers has seen us become the de facto market leader.

Behind each of these new products has been a rigorous R&D process. AliDeck has designed and developed all our products in-house; we do not buy off-the-shelf or import from abroad for resale. Our Research & Development team has been crucial to our success and with our growing aspirations we are proud to have recently grown our R&D team.

We are delighted to welcome Peter to AliDeck as our new Mechanical Engineer. Peter originally intended to become an architect and chose A Levels to suit but very quickly his eyes were opened to the world of product design and mechanical engineering, and he changed his path accordingly.

Following a spell living in Thailand and caring for elephants, Peter studied at Cardiff University for a BEng. in Medical Engineering, a degree with a heavy bias to mechanical and electrical engineering in the context of medicine. Graduating in 2019 with a qualification accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Peter began his career in the chemical manufacturing industry before moving into blow-moulding tool-setting.

At AliDeck, Peter has hit the ground running and has deployed his considerable skill to developing a range of product upgrades and additions to our range. Using SolidWorks to design new parts, Peter utilises our 3D printer to quickly and easily bring CAD to reality for an exceptionally fast prototyping turnaround.

It’s been great to see the value that Peter has already added to our business and we are excited about rolling out a host of new products over the coming weeks and months.
