AliDeck Approved Installer Amson Solutions Deliver Perfect Aluminium Decking Installation to Inset Balcony Project

As a supply-only business, though, we have to wave goodbye to our balcony component systems as they are dispatched to customers, and trust that our technical support, installation guidance, and maintenance schedule is suitably robust to ensure the best use of the materials.
As a conscientious and proud manufacturer, we want to see our products delivering first-rate service in their intended uses, which is why we developed our AliDeck Training Academy programme.
The Training Academy was developed to allow us to welcome in teams of installation professionals and, over a short one-day session, introduce them to our range of aluminium decking and give them hands-on experience and tailored instruction to help them understand how to achieve the best outcome when installing AliDeck.
All crews that complete the Training Academy programme are certified as AliDeck Approved Installers, which acts as a kitemark of installation excellence. Many of our Approved Installers go on to provide aluminium decking installation services to their regions, performing domestic, new-build, and retrofit installations and delivering safe and compliant balconies, terraces, and walkways around the UK.
One of our earliest Approved Installers was Maidstone-based construction firm Amson Solutions. The team at Amson are expert tradesmen for roofing and facades, so incorporating aluminium decking was a natural progression for them and we have formed a close partnership as we’ve collaborated across multiple projects.
A recent project that Amson Solutions have completed is an exclusive low-rise apartment block in Woking. With inset balconies at all levels of the building, the project called for a premiere decking solution which our 20mm Junior Board amply delivered.
The corner apartments on the block benefit from large L-shaped balconies. Using the ridged specification of our Junior Board (also available in flat specification), a practical and safe balcony pedestrian surface is achieved, with the board ridges providing second-to-none slip resistance.
Being inset balconies, the sub-structure beneath the decking is concrete and our Adjustable Pedestal Brackets and Joist system combined to provide a rock-solid foundation.
The architectural design of these inset balconies paid close attention to the issue of drainage, with suitable NHBC-compliant falls being built into the balcony concrete base to adequately drain water away. We worked closely with Amson Solutions to design and specify a complete decking system solution that would cope with these falls and not impede the designed drainage strategy.
