AliDeck Digital Marketing Apprentice makes site visit to fire safety remediation project in Bermondsey, London, to capture photographs of our aluminium decking to the large roof terrace
AliDeck is a firm believer in investing in the next generation of talent and we are proud to create opportunities for young people to enter the manufacturing industry to learn the skills needed to be successful in their careers for the rest of their lives.
One of our most dedicated employees is our Digital Marketing Assistant, Libby. She joined us in 2020 straight from school to begin her apprenticeship, working in our marketing department. From day one, Libby demonstrated a keen willingness to learn and in a matter of weeks was deftly handling website updates, blog posting, social media management, and more.
A specialised area that Libby showed early promise in was photography. Working closely with Steve, our Head of Marketing and a commercial photographer by trade, Libby quickly acquired a high level of proficiency in image making and has subsequently shot thousands of photographs of the AliDeck operation from around our factory, warehouse, Training Academy, and showroom.
Fast forward 18 months, Libby is approaching the end of her formal apprenticeship. Completing this course and earning her marketing qualification will be a personal and career milestone for her but will be well-earned as she is now an expert on a broad range of marketing functions.
It was an absolute pleasure to see her make her first solo site-visit this week, heading to a fire safety remediation project in Bermondsey, London. Perhaps a daunting prospect for many young people but Libby handled the task with her typical confidence and a clear set of objectives. The proof of her success is in the pudding, of course, and the set of first-rate photographs of the site she has produced demonstrates a very productive day’s work!
It has been great to see Libby grow and learn on her journey to become a marketing professional and we are always very proud of the effort she puts in and the results she delivers. She’s a real talent.
