AliDeck featured in KMTV news report on EWS1-failed Maidstone high-rise building

With AliDeck rapidly becoming recognised as a leading voice of authority on matters relating to the cladding scandal and EWS1, we speak to many stakeholders every day on the topic; from homeowners, to contractors, to architects, and more.

Following our last contribution their news show, we were delighted to speak again this week with KMTV, a regional television station covering Kent. KMTV broadcast journalist Katya Fowler visited the AliDeck HQ in Rochester to discuss the background of the fire-safety issues with our Head of Marketing, Steve Cole, who is our resident expert on regulatory and legislation detail as it pertains to our product offering.

It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Katya as she prepared her report into the issue that residents of Miller Heights in Maidstone are having with their building and its EWS1 situation, and we are proud to be able to provide detailed insight on the broad issues for the media.

It is impossible not to feel deep empathy for these homeowners, caught as they are in an extremely stressful situation that they have little ability to meaningfully resolve themselves. Their difficult experience is emblematic of the problem facing leaseholders up and down the UK.

While many positive steps have been taken over the last few years across construction to move us all towards a fire safe future, the often devastating impact on individual homeowners during this transition is intolerable. We hope that a definitive resolution is soon found, and continued media spotlighting on the problem will hopefully help to achieve that.
