Important update for AliDeck customers
AliDeck is proud to announce that we recently achieved UKCA certification (UK Conformity Assessment) for our aluminium decking and balcony components. We took this step to not only enhance the support we provide our customers, but also further our credibility within the industry. We have also successfully applied for CE marking status, securing these together will allow us to further strengthen our position in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
As a UK-based manufacturer, AliDeck supplies High-Quality Aluminium Decking and Balcony Components to steel fabricators and balcony manufacturers across the UK & Ireland. In addition to this, we also keep architects and specifiers updated on our product solutions and services for upcoming steel balcony construction projects with our products available on NBS.
AliDeck’s range of Class A Decking is the market-leading design that provides a cost-effective and futureproof solution for our customers, and we are dedicated to supporting their needs, particularly with compliance-related matters to ensure project success for all stakeholders involved. It was therefore important to us that we have full control of the production process to ensure we were compliant with UKCA standards and that there were no non-conformities.
Several stages were involved in the process, with only a few minor recommendations identified by the visiting authorities, which were addressed by the end of the day. Alcumus certified the certificate for UKCA accreditation, before sending it on to OMNI in Ireland for further evaluation to gain CE accreditation.
What does this mean for our customers and how will you benefit?
The UKCA accreditation will clearly highlight that our products comply with UK legislation and are compliant with UKCA regulations, which we are confident will benefit our customers. CE marking ensures the traceability of manufactured/fabricated products to ensure they meet EU safety, health, and environmental standards.
In order to sell their products in Europe, UK-based manufacturers must comply with BS EN 1090:1997 for structural steel and aluminium. Companies designing and/or manufacturing products or components made with these materials must follow these guidelines in order to supply to the single market, as the UK & EU trade deal requires.
By obtaining CE accreditation, we will be able to support our Irish customers far better than ever before. Our efforts in Ireland have already yielded positive results, partnering with steel fabricators and balcony manufacturers across a number of high-profile projects. We will now be able to help our customers win even more projects with CE marking on our products.
