AliRail Insight Glass 0.74kN System Passes Rigorous Load Testing by Accolade Measurements
We are pleased to announce that our AliRail Insight Glass 0.74kN option has successfully passed rigorous testing at our head office in Rochester, Kent, conducted by Accolade Measurements. This milestone confirms that Insight Glass meets the required standards and is now available for specification in projects across the UK and Ireland, with several projects already in the pipeline.
The AliRail Insight Glass 0.74kN system is an ideal solution for residential glass balustrades on steel balconies, fully compatible with all AliDeck brands and their A-Rated Fire Safe solutions. The system has been load tested in accordance with BS 6180:2011 standards, ensuring a horizontal line load of 0.74kN/m, an infill point load of 0.5kN, and an infill distributed load of 1.0kN/m².
Our Insight Glass non-combustible balustrade system can be specified with glass thicknesses ranging from 10.8mm to 19mm. For projects exceeding 11 meters in height, we recommend using 19mm fire-safety Pyroguard glass to ensure full compliance with A2-s1, d0 fire rating standards. This glass option also passed the required point load testing, deflecting only 1.6mm, well within the 16mm tolerance, making it ideal for high-rise buildings as it ensures both safety and aesthetic appeal.
