AliRail Plate Fix & Top Fix PFC system passes 0.74kN weight loading test with flying colours!

We are pleased to share that our latest AliRail Top Fix & Plate Fix Spindle options have passed a balustrade load test of 0.74kN with flying colours earlier this week. Providing the highest-quality products to market and providing peace of mind to our customers that their compliance will meet current regulations were important factors for us to innovate our existing range.

AliDeck held the test on-site with a representative from Accolade Measurements, who performed the load-bearing test on sample balconies manufactured in our warehouse. The tests that were carried out highlighted that our systems could support a 0.74kN load bearing with ease and were therefore taken further until a maximum load point was found.

For AliRail Plate Fix, the balcony measured 4.6m wide and 1.5m in projection. This was tested up to a 1.25kN loading, passing all requirements successfully. Top Fix PFC was tested on a 3m wide balcony, passing all tests until it finally achieved a maximum of 1kN load-bearing capacity.

The spindle heights were 1100m high on both systems, the standard requirement needed to meet BS5879:2020, with higher elevations available to bespoke lengths should these be specified on your projects.
