We recently launched a dedicated resource to support architects and specifiers in the specification of non-combustible decking elements in their projects. This initiative came about from our long experience of working closely with architects and beginning to really understand the issues that this particular sector was concerned with and the nature of the information they required.

Our experience informed us that architects are primarily concerned with specifying compliant and safe materials in their development plans. With the construction industry now operating in an atmosphere of renewed scrutiny with regards safety following Grenfell, it is essential that all building materials used meet the relevant regulations.

The AliDeck aluminium decking range has been subjected to a wide range of tests to prove its fire safety, slip resistance, and durability so a core part of the service we supply to architects is in supplying that test result data and certification, allowing total peace-of-mind when specifying our products.

A further key part of our service for architects is in the supplying of in-depth technical data on our products. We have produced a suite of datasheets covering our whole range, which can be used to quickly understand the dimensions, weight, coating, and other physical attributes of our decking, joists, and so on. We are also able to supply DWG files on request to allow architects to precisely incorporate AliDeck products into their plans.

Finally, we are able to share with architects a few essential tools to help their work, such as a CPD on Fire Regulations For Balconies, links to AliDeck in RIBA Product Selector and BIM Library, and also access to our R&D and Design teams.

We’ve had some great feedback from architects for the service we provide to them and we’re very proud of the way that we’ve evolved our own internal practices to better support this vital and essential sector of the construction industry.
