AliDeck Transforms Kylna Court Terraces with Non-Combustible Decking Solutions

AliDeck’s innovative Junior Ridged Decking Board and bespoke decking solutions have completely revitalised the terraces at Kylna Court, Hemel Hempstead. Following on from our earlier case study, which highlighted the initial safety and design challenges faced at Kylna Court, this update showcases the project’s successful completion.

Key to this transformation was the enhancement of communal areas, in collaboration with Michael Dyson Architects and Wates, AliDeck supplied bespoke products for seating areas and planters, which have added both utility and aesthetic appeal to the fourth and sixth-floor terraces. These custom features have made the terraces more inviting for residents, providing a vibrant environment that encourages community engagement and improves the overall living experience.

In addition to the custom seating and planters, AliDeck provided a decking solution for these terraces, using the Junior Ridged Board, known for its slip-resistant properties and exceptional durability. Our Low Joist and Adjustable Pedestal Brackets created a secure and durable foundation, meeting stringent A2-s1, d0 fire safety standards and ensuring full compliance with BS 8579:2020.

Our in-house powder-coating process further enhanced the endurance and aesthetic appeal of the decking. This Qualicoat Seaside Standard coating ensures that the terraces will withstand the elements and maintain their quality for years to come.
