A trusted partnership with Apex Facades on critical remediation work
Apex Facades, specialists in façade and fire safety remediation, managed the remediation works at Royal View. This project marked our first collaboration with the Apex team, who chose AliDeck for our reputation in delivering compliant, non-combustible balcony solutions. Our strong track record, product performance, and responsive UK-based support made us the trusted supplier for this vital safety upgrade—laying the groundwork for a promising partnership.
While access and delivery to the Royal View site presented several logistical challenges due to its residential location and restricted space, the strong coordination between our teams ensured that everything ran smoothly. With Apex managing on-site installation and AliDeck supplying directly from our UK warehouse, the project stayed on schedule—minimising disruption for residents and ensuring all stakeholders remained aligned with the latest Building Safety legislation.

Non-combustible Lite Board delivers safe and stylish balcony transformation
AliDeck’s Lite Board aluminium decking system was selected for this scheme due to its combination of lightweight construction, excellent spanning capacity, and compliance with the most stringent safety standards. Designed with a low build-up height and offering a maximum span of 600mm, Lite Board is ideal for remediation projects where existing subframes must be retained.

The timber decking at Royal View was fully removed, exposing the balcony steelwork beneath. From there, Apex Facades installed the Lite Board directly onto the substructure, delivering a durable new deck surface that offers a minimum 60-year life expectancy and minimal maintenance requirements—an ideal long-term upgrade for residential schemes.
A2 Fire-Rated decking for total peace of mind
The Lite Board system is fully fire-rated to A2-s1, d0 and A2fl-s1, in full compliance with BS 8579:2020, and current Building Regulations. Every board was powder-coated at our in-house facility using Class 2 Powder Coating at a Qualicoat Seaside-Standard. This includes our advanced 7-stage process to ensure long-lasting performance in coastal environments like Brighton.
By replacing combustible timber with AliDeck aluminium decking, the balconies at Royal View are now fully non-combustible, durable, and compliant—giving leaseholders and residents the peace of mind they deserve.

Royal View now stands as a strong example of how AliDeck solutions can deliver long-term safety and style with minimal disruption and full regulatory compliance. With the project now complete, all parties involved are extremely satisfied with the result—and the building is now better protected for decades to come.
