Ballymastone Development Completes Installation of AliDeck Plate Fix Balustrade and Ultra Board Aluminium Decking in Ireland | Fire-Safe Balcony Solutions

This collaborative project was delivered in partnership with Extreme Balconies, a leading balcony installation specialist known for their expertise and reliability. Extreme Balconies utilised our durable, fire-safe, and cost-effective aluminium systems to bring a high-quality, futureproof balcony solution to this exciting new build development.

The Ballymastone development, a large-scale new-build residential project in Ireland, demanded balcony systems that were both compliant and ahead of the upcoming regulations coming to Ireland. AliDeck’s aluminium balcony decking and balustrade systems were selected for this to ensure the futureproofing of this project.

AliDeck Ultra Board Aluminium Decking is a non-combustible solution with a fire rating of A2-s1, d0, meeting the most stringent safety standards, including BS 8579:2020 and NHBC requirements. Its exceptional durability, combined with a 60-year minimum life expectancy and 30-year warranty, ensures that this decking system offers excellent value for developers and peace of mind for leaseholders.

The AliRail Plate Fix Balustrade System was chosen for its sleek, vertical-infill design, which enhances both safety and aesthetic appeal. With a load capacity of 0.74kN, the Plate Fix system is engineered for maximum strength and reliability while being quick and efficient to install.

The Ballymastone project presented unique challenges, including the need for lightweight balcony systems to simplify installation and reduce build time. Thanks to the pre-fabricated aluminium solutions offered by AliDeck, on-site construction time was significantly reduced, saving the developer both time and costs.

Our Ultra Board Aluminium Decking and AliRail Balustrade Systems were powder-coated in-house at our state-of-the-art seven-stage pre-treatment facility, ensuring a flawless, weather-resistant finish that meets the Qualicoat Seaside Class 2 Powder Coating Standard. This superior process includes 2-gram etching per square metre for maximum adhesion, delivering a premium finish that will endure for decades, even in challenging environments.

The system’s non-combustible properties and ability to integrate seamlessly into architectural designs ensured compliance with stringent fire safety standards, as well as BS and NHBC regulations.
