We recently took a visit to a newly completed project in Bournemouth for which we collaborated with our Approved Installer, Unique Outdoor Living Group, who was working in partnership with local property management company, Goadsby & Buildtech Consultancy Ltd.
Unique Outdoor Living Group has been responsible for many projects across their time as one of our certified Approved Installers, including a complex curved balcony project in Poole, Dorset last year. Upon completing the AliDeck Training Academy course they are expertly equipped to support any balcony remediation and refurbishment projects.
The project at hand saw the refurbishment of 14 balconies across a residential block in the heart of the city centre and will provide a futureproof solution that will last a minimum of 60 years, which is far greater than the previous timber decking.
The balconies will see the use of our Senior Flat Board which was supplied in 6m lengths, supported by the board clips and angle trim to create an aesthetically pleasing and seamless finish with all fixings hidden from view. Finished in our most popular RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey powder-coat, the balconies will offer the leaseholders a desirable outdoor living space to enjoy the great outdoors all year round.
With over 25 years of experience in facades and cladding, Buildtech Consultancy consultants are experts in fire safety, providing inspections and bespoke written reports on buildings and requesting the work to be carried out in order to bring the balconies in line with current regulations and safety standards.

In order to ensure safety, all previous combustible materials have been replaced with aluminium decking which is A-rated to A2-s1, d0, and A2fl-s1 standards.
