Extreme Steel install Ground Floor Balconies to Block E2 of the City West project in Ireland using our aluminium decking and balustrades

Extreme Steel recently installed ground floor balconies to block E2 of the City West project using AliDeck’s aluminium decking and our AliRail Vertical Infill Balustrades. This project is still underway as it nears completion but highlights the potential for ground floor balconies and their practicality and aesthetical design value, so we couldn’t wait to share these pictures with you.

The installation at the City West project required a durable solution that could withstand the variable Irish climate and still look great. Although non-combustible materials are not required for projects in Ireland, Extreme Steel are committed to being ahead of the curve by providing futureproof solutions, avoiding the inevitable changes in future legislation.

Extreme Steel chose to partner with AliDeck, where we would supply the aluminium decking and balcony components for this multi-storey project. Not only is our range of boards fire-rated to A2-s1, d0 & A2fl-s1 standards, but our products are highly resistant to corrosion, and requires minimal maintenance after installation.

Our V2 Junior Board was supplied in 4m and 6m lengths along with colour-matched clips to cover the fixing channel. Extreme Steel also used our AliRail Spindle Infills and Handrail built into their own frame as part of this project, in order to ensure safety and durability while creating a secure balustrade system for the balcony.

The balustrades are available in a wide range of standard colours so they can be customised to match any existing decor or style preference. All boards and balustrades are manufactured using our aluminium extrusions and powder-coated to a Qualicoat approved standard. The result is an attractive yet secure complete balcony system that meets all current building regulations, while still looking great aesthetically.

It is also lightweight yet strong making it ideal for modern day construction with the stringent reviews upon the current regulations. In addition, it comes with a 30-year warranty, meaning you can have peace of mind knowing your project will last for years to come.
