Close Collaboration Key as Cost-Effective Fire-safe Solutions Guarantee Project Success
Aluminium decking boards create a fire-safe outdoor living space that will provide a robust and aesthetically pleasing environment. AliDeck products benefit from a fire-rating of A2-s1, d0 and A2fl-s1 and a minimum life expectancy of 60 years, offering a true return on such a long-term investment. We also offer a 30 year manufacturer guarantee for additional peace of mind.
A variety of our aluminium joists were also used to create the necessary build-up heights for the decking boards. These include AliDeck’s Supa Joist, Low Joist, and Lite Joist. The unique design features and benefits of each product make them an ideal solution for different areas of the project.
Due to the fact that The Boardwalk at Midway Quays is a coastal project it required a durable solution. Our Qualicoat Seaside Standard finish was therefore the perfect choice. This high-quality powder-coat will protect the aluminium decking boards and balcony components from the effects of corrosion in the harsh coastal environment, ensuring that they last for decades to come.
The resulting finish far exceeds the industry standard, providing increased durability, reduced maintenance, and enhanced aesthetics. We offer a range of 10 standard colours, as well as bespoke options in any RAL colour to meet all project specifications.
All products are powder-coated in-house using Class 2 powders only, in this case our popular Textured Silver Grey. The Qualicoat Seaside powder-coating is resistant to salt water, UV rays, and uses chemicals that are more eco-friendly than traditional paint, making it perfect for coastal and outdoor applications.
The remediation will provide a futureproof solution that is greatly needed, leaseholders will benefit from additional safety and value added to their homes, both financially and aesthetically. We would like to thank N&J Building Services for choosing to partner with us on this fantastic project.
If you are a building owner or leaseholder, it is important to ensure that your balcony decking is compliant with the latest regulations. If it is no longer deemed fit for purpose, you should seek advice and take steps to remediate it as soon as possible.
