Our Maintenance Schedule is our simple but comprehensive document outlining how to care for our installed systems and guarantee a lifetime of functionality.
Timber Decking is prone to breaking apart if it is damaged through force or the effects of time weakening the structure of the boards, this can leave sharp edges or splinters capable of harming balcony occupants and composite is very much the same. Also, rotten timber decking can grow mould and be easily infected with harmful bacteria, a problem that can affect any material. However, aluminium can greatly reduce this risk.
Aluminium is not only far easier to maintain physically due to its robust nature, as one of the strongest metals, but also far easier to maintain aesthetically. Our products are very easy to clean, with little-to-no maintenance required outside of regular cleaning to ensure the standards and structural strength of the aluminium board are maintained.
To clean aluminium decking, you simply need to follow a simple 3-step process. In short, use a soft brush or broom to loosen dirt and remove dust, then clean the surface area of the boards or balustrade systems using warm soapy water with a lint-free mop or cloth. Finally, rinse away the soapy water with plain warm water. No abrasive materials should be used to avoid damaging the powder-coat finish.
